The Maimunah is a handmade kimono-bubu fusion dress with a corded illusion corset waist, This NIOVO piece is a meeting of two heritages: the fluid drape of the Japanese kimono and the graceful ease of the West African bubu, cinched into shape by NIOVO's signature corseted waist.

It moves like a robe and holds like a gown, with full kimono sleeves, a flowing marbled chiffon body, and a corded mesh corset that traces the waist in raised, hand-finished detail.
